April 2016 Yosemite Instagram Month in Review

Yosemite Falls Path
The Path to Yosemite Falls awaits your feet by John P. DeGrazio

Reflecting on an April to remember in Yosemite National Park with our April 2016 Yosemite Instagram Month in Review. There is so much beauty in the Sierra Nevada when we have wet winters and springs. After four years of drought, we were happy to see emerald green meadows and reflective vernal pools of Yosemite Valley. The waterfalls are an absolute delight with rainbow like mistbows forming in their spray. Many trails are now accessible in Yosemite Valley including the Four Mile Trail to Glacier Point. The Glacier Point Road is now open too but can close at any time during spring storms that may bring snow to higher elevations.

Here are some of the most popular photos from our April 2016 Yosemite Instagram with 160 likes or more. There are many more on our feed where we are quickly approaching 2000 followers. Please follow and share with other instagrammers to help us build our Instagram audience @yexplore.

Photographing with a camera phone was once frowned upon as a lazy way out of making an image. With advancing technology, these phones are becoming more integral in everyday “outdoor” life. I am currently using the iPhone 6s with an 12 megapixel camera and will share the world of Yosemite through my phone.
